The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for December 2024. This will be the 20th edition of the CTET, conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.Interested candidates can view the detailed notification as below.

Eligibility Criteria for CTET December 2024
For Classes I-V or Primary Stage:
- Minimum 50% marks in Senior Secondary, final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
- Senior Secondary with 45% marks, pursuing or completed 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE guidelines (2002). OR
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks & in final year of 4-year B. EI. Ed program. OR
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks and ongoing 2-year Diploma in Special Education. OR
- Candidates must have a B. Ed degree with at least 50% marks to be considered for teaching positions in classes I to V. They must also complete a 6-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education within two years of appointment.
Classes VI-VIII or Elementary Stage:
- Completed 2-year diploma, graduation or in final year. OR
- Minimum 50% marks in graduation with B. Ed or minimum 45% with B. Ed as per NCTE regulations. Appearing candidates also eligible. OR
- Minimum 50% in Senior Secondary or equivalent; final year B. EI. Ed. candidates eligible. OR
- Minimum requirement: Senior Secondary with 50% marks and enrolled in final year of 4-year B. A/B. Sc. Ed, or Graduation with 50% marks and enrolled in 1-year B. Ed. (Special Education). OR
- Candidates with a recognized B. Ed. degree can appear in TET/CTET. Those pursuing approved teacher education courses can also qualify. NCTE guidelines from 11-02-2011 and Notification from 23-08-2010 apply.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for CTET 2024 by visiting the Official CTET Portal. You can follow the steps mentioned below to apply online.
- Scroll down, and go to the Important Web-Links section.
- Click on the “Online Application” and complete the registration process.
- In the next stage, click on the “Online Application” Link and log in.
- Fill in your all personal and educational details and upload the necessary documents.
- Pay the application fee and submit the form.
- Take a print out of the application form
